Situation
You recently purchased or a change was recently made to your Kerio product. When entering your license number into your Kerio instance it does not reflect the expected information (expiry, seats, etc) or you receive an error.
Resolution
Note: If the error says that the license is not for this operating system or not for this hardware, refer to How can I update my Kerio Connect or Kerio Control OS or Hardware model? before proceeding
Downloading the license key file
- Go to the Kerio Product registration page enter the license number and the captcha code and click Next
- Check that the relevant license information is displayed and click Next
Note: if the information is incorrect, stop here and submit a ticket to our Customer Care team - Check your company info, check the Privacy Policy Terms box and click Next
- Check the Operating system and Language and click Next
Note: for Kerio Control you can also enter the hardware Serial number - Check the Overview of the entered information and click Finish
- To download the license key file click Download the License
Importing the key file in Kerio Connect
- Open the Kerio Connect Administration console
- On the Dashboard click the Install license... link (bottom right)
- Click Browse to select the license.key file you downloaded previously
- Click OK to complete the process
Importing the key file in Kerio Control
- Open the Kerio Control Administration interface
- On the Dashboard click the Configuration Assistant button (bottom right)
- Click Register product or Update license info (this changes if it is a new instance)
- In the registration window that opens click the Register offline by license file link (bottom right)
- Click Browse to select the license.key file you downloaded previously and click Next
- Follow the registration wizard to complete the process
