Situation
You need to place an order for new business or for the renewal of Exinda or GFI ClearView
Important Note: All orders (including new subscriptions, renewals, upgrades, and add-ons) are placed by Distributors only, using the GFI Web Shop.
If you are a Reseller, please place your order with a Distributor in your area.
If you are an End user, please place your order with a Reseller in your area.
Resolution
EUC: If you have not provided us with the new EUC for the relevant Enduser, please make sure to submit it as soon as possible to avoid delays during the ordering process. Click here for more details and to download the latest blank EUC.
Step 1: Update or Create
- Log in to the GFI Accounts Portal (or if you are already logged in, click here: GFI Web Shop)
- Click on the Webshop button to go to step 1 of the 4-step order process
- Click on Create a new subscription (even if you are ordering a renewal, Exinda/GFI ClearView orders always create a new subscription; the order will go based on the provided Serial Number(s) or Host ID(s) in step 4).
Note: Although it is possible to try using the Update an existing subscription and enter the subscription number in the search field, this will not always return results for Exinda/GFI ClearView and a new subscription will always be created either way. It is recommended to always use Create a new subscription
Step 2: Customer Tier
- Use the Find an enduser and Find a reseller fields to search for the relevant accounts using either their email , their email domain preceded by an "@" (e.g. @gfi.com) or their Customer ID (CID) if you know it
- Once you have found the relevant account, click on it to set the selection, and click Next
Note: if you select the wrong account by mistake, click the x in the top right corner of the incorrect account to clear the selection and search again
If you cannot find an account
1. It does not exist: follow the instructions in How do I create a Reseller account? (Distributors only) or How do I create an Enduser Account?
2. It is not visible to you: if you are certain the account exists but you cannot see it, submit a visibility request to our Customer Care team.
Step 3: Configure
- Under Term Length select the number of months 12/24/36
Important Note: Orders with an irregular number of months (i.e. not 12/24/36) will be rejected unless preapproved
- Enable the switches on each option as needed
- For shaping you can add combinations and amend the quantities in step 4.
For example, if you have device A with 550MB shaping and device B with 1.5GB shaping, you can enable switches 50MB, 500MB, 1GB and in step 4 increase the quantity for 500MB to 2:- A: 50MB + 500MB = 550MB
- B: 500MB + 1GB = 1.5GB
- For shaping you can add combinations and amend the quantities in step 4.
- Add any special instructions, Deal Desks, important notes, exceptions or explanations in the Special Instructions box
- Click Next
Step 4: Preview
Exinda/ClearView Orders: The Serial Number(s)/Host ID(s), respectively, for all relevant instances must be provided for the order to be processed. A mandatory field will appear in the bottom left of the Preview page for these orders.
- The preview page will display:
- All the order data set from the previous steps
- Itemised pricing information
- The Promo Codes field for applying pre-approved discounts for government, education, charity or non-profit organisations
- The total order value
- Enter the Serial Number(s) and/or Host ID(s) of all relevant instances in the Serial Numbers box (bottom left) separated by commas
- Edit the quantities in the QUANTITY column as needed
- Click the blue Preview Order button (bottom right) for the values to be updated
- Once you have confirmed that everything is as expected, click the blue Place Order button (bottom right)
- In the pop-up, enter your purchase order number in the PO Number field and click Confirm
- Once the order has been successfully submitted you will see the following pop-up message
Note: Unlike orders for other GFI products, Exinda and GFI ClearView orders will not be visible in the Accounts Portal. You will receive email notifications concerning the progress of your order.
