How do I create a trial license for a customer?

Situation

You have a potential or existing customer who wishes to try out a GFI Software product and want to provide them with a trial license key.

Resolution

Note: This is only actionable using a Reseller or Distributor account

1. Log in to the Accounts Portal
   
   
2. Go to Manage > Licenses > gear icon > New License
   
   
   
3. Select the product, the product version, and the template in the order shown below > click Next
   
   
   
4. Use the Find an Enduser, Find a Reseller, and Find a Distributor fields to search for the relevant accounts using either their email, their email domain preceded by an "@" (e.g. @gfi.com) or
   their Customer ID (CID) if you know it > click Next
   
   (the Find a Distributor field is only editable using a Distributor account)

   If you cannot find an account
   1. It does not exist: follow the instructions in How do I create a Reseller account? (Distributors only) or How do I create an Enduser Account?
   2. It is not visible to you: if you are certain the account exists but you cannot see it, submit a visibility request to our Customer Care team.

5. On the final confirmation page click Finish
   
   
   
6. You will be presented with the license detail page, including the trial key listed under the product name
   
7. Go to the GFI UpgradeCenter to find and download the latest product version for the trial
